Abstract
Crowd management has become an emerging topic of research worldwide, due to the increase in population. Over a year, a large number of events are organized around the world. These events are becoming massively crowded with the participants. The management of the crowd is becoming a challenge for the organizers of these events. In fact crowded events have dual end challenges, i.e. from the organizers perspective and from the participant perspective. The event organizers want to make sure the safety and security of participants during the event, and their aim is to facilitate the individuals who are participating in the crowd. The participants require the guidance and awareness to the current situation of crowd for their own ease and safety. Recently, a large number of modern and smart technologies are emerging around the world. We envision that a large number of devices will be connected in the future to support various applications in our daily life. At this moment, the internet of things (IoT) is slowly but surely becoming a reality that has the potential to change and improve aspects of our daily lives or business. Further, a large number of modern technologies are supporting the location tracing of every individual even in a crowded situation.
