Abstract
Observing a child is a difficult job as the guardians. Parents cannot continuously observe or monitor their babies all the time. Child Monitoring System is particularly for occupied guardians so they can guarantee the legitimate consideration and security of their infants. This project aims to produce a baby monitoring system, which we called a Smart Infant Cradle System that provides different monitoring features. It detects the motion, crying, the present position of the baby, and rock the cradle whenever needed. If any abnormal action is detected then the system sends the message in the form of text with the images of the baby to the particular user through a notification on the Blynk application. Raspberry pi module is used to process the videos taken by the Pi camera, mic used for crying detection, and open-cv is used for face detection of babies.
