| dc.description.abstract | This research paper discusses how human rights have emancipated humans and what is the contribution of religious and Western literature in dominating the concept. Normative theory is used as a theoretical framework in this dissertation. The methodology used is qualitative, structured focused method to evaluate the objectives of the research in the comparative study and link it together in conclusion. The paper is divided into five chapters with the first chapter highlighting the background of the human rights andhow it evolved with time. The second chapter summarizes the discussion and literature review. The third and fourth chapter illustrates the Islamic and Western perspectives on the issue of human rights. The last chapter concludes the data evaluation of the paper with findings and opinions. The research being brief didn't highlight the causes of human rights violations and how it can be protected. It only focused on the contrast of theory regarding rights of humans explained in the books and how it is practiced in the western and Islamic societies. | en_US |
