Abstract
This system allows the user to search all the events occurring in Lahore and provide a complete description of the event. As we wanted to make the system generic, the main problem which we had was to make it diverse. There are no other websites which can provide the information for all the events occurring in Lahore under one platform. There are other companies working to promote events but they are only targeting their own events. And the biggest problem faced by us was to gather authentic information and then make it easy enough to share it with the others. Now in order to solve this problem we came up with a solution of data crawlers also known as web spiders. A widely used technique by Google, in order to get the web pages indexed and keeps them into their own database. We started off with the basic technique used by Google which uses spiders and crawlers to look for the relevant page out of thousands depending on the key phrase typed. Once Google searches with the help of spiders and crawlers it starts navigating through to find the correct information by reading the content and Meta tags, now that it finds the relevant information with correct guidelines and parameters it displays the best result at the top. Just like this, the system will use the same principle to find the relevant information about the event and deliver the best search results to the user.
