Abstract
People always gaze at wonder at the hi-tech screens often called terminals at airports provided for the tourists and users to browse around across the wide sea of information. The visitors often are interested in finding information concerned with the tourism or browsing for fun. Such Tenninals which provides access to the world wide web by inserting credit card are visible at Abu Dhabi and Singapore Airports. ' Using that as an inspiration for our Project "The Virtual Intra - City Guiding System" we have planned to design such a site that will provide the Tourist and the locals with a wide rang of information about the city of Lahore. The system is categorized for the Tourist user and Local user according to their needs ofinformation. The main theme of the project is to provide the user with a virtual guiding system on a map. The user will enter his current location and his desired destination and the system will highlight the route between the current and destination. Considering the odds, it is obvious that the system will show the user the shortest path.
