Perception of university students about their engagement in online classes during covid-19

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the perceptions of university students’ about their engagement in online classes during COVID-19. The research was quantitative in nature. All the university students studying in public and private universities of the Lahore were the population of the study. The sampling technique used for this research was convenient sampling because of the access to the population due to the pandemic. A self-administered, closed-ended survey was used to collect data (n = 379) from students who were enrolled in private and public universities of Lahore during the COVID lockdown. The results of the study showed that engagement in online classes was significantly explained by the effectiveness of strategies instructors utilized. The analysis further revealed that there is no significant difference in student engagement in online classes based on gender and location.
