Abstract
The AI-Powered Online Auction Platform is a web-based system designed to facilitate secure and transparent online auctions while integrating artificial intelligence for automated moderation and bidding. Built using the MERN stack with Next.js, the platform enables users to list items for auction, place bids manually, or utilize an AI-powered bidding bot to bid on their behalf up to a predefined threshold. To ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards, an AI model (Flask based) scans item images and descriptions to detect any inappropriate or illegal content (e.g., drugs, firearms). The auction process follows an incremental bidding mechanism, where the highest bidder wins. If multiple users enable AI auto-bidding, the system ensures a fair competition by prioritizing the first placed bid until outbid. Web Sockets enable real-time updates, ensuring a seamless live bidding experience. Additionally, users can report suspicious items or fraudulent activities, with an admin panel available for moderation. The platform is designed for cloud deployment, ensuring scalability and availability.
