Abstract
The current study aimed to investigate the relationship among Personality, Social intelligence and Humanism in university students. The study was carried out with the help of three scales Eysenck Personality Inventory (Eysenck, 1963), Social Intelligence Scale (Habib, Saleem, & Mahmood, 2013) and an indigenously developed Humanism Scale for University Students. A sample of 250 university students (49 % male and 51% female) from different Govt. and Private Universities with age range of 16-25 years (M=19.80, SD=1.77) were selected through stratified sampling by using cross sectional research design. Findings of the study showed that there was strong relationship between Social Intelligence and Humanism. Social Manipulation found to be the negative predictors of Humanism whereas Social Facilitation, Social Empathy and Social Adaptability were the positive predictor of Humanism. The findings of secondary hypotheses showed that significant difference found between demographics of gender, class, number of siblings and no significant difference found among age of participants and family system. Furthermore results could be discussed with reference of cultural perspective with its implication in the area of research.
