dc.description.abstractCooperative learning method is a pedagogical approach which helps students to develop 21st century’s most sought after interpersonal and social skills. In a classroom students taught under cooperative learning approach learn team building and positive independence within the group. Cooperative learning method enhances their academic achievement. Cooperative learning approach is best applicable in diverse classrooms where students from different academic and cultural backgrounds interact and develop diverse knowledge about a specific subject. When students from different cultural backgrounds engage in learning process in a team it also helps them to value each other’s opinions. To make sure that all the students are participating in knowledge construction, teacher’s role is very principal. Teacher is an essential part in this method. Qualitative method including three focus group discussions coupled with five in-depth interviews conducted with students registered in cohort subjects.
