Abstract
This study investigates the influence of school management practices on the attitudes of secondary school teachers in Lahore, Pakistan. Employing a mixed methods approach, the research analyzed the impact of workload, strictness, and support from school management on teachers' job satisfaction, teaching capabilities, and anxiety levels. A sample of 300 teachers from both public and private secondary schools was surveyed, with data analyzed using statistical techniques, including ANOVA and correlation analysis. The findings reveal that high workloads, rigid management practices, and inadequate support significantly negatively affect teachers' attitudes, leading to increased anxiety and decreased job satisfaction. Younger and less experienced teachers are particularly vulnerable to these negative impacts. The study underscores the need for more supportive and flexible management practices to enhance teachers' job satisfaction and effectiveness. Recommendations include optimizing workload distribution, improving communication and support, and implementing fair reward systems. Future research should explore longitudinal effects, intervention strategies, and the impact of cultural factors on management practices.
