dc.description.abstractdata set. Usually a visualization technique is opted depending upon the nature of data but this work tried to opt for those techniques that are actually not meant for a particular data set as well as the application of those techniques that are actually meant for that data set. For example, vector field visualization techniques could be applied to tensor field or scalar field data set and the effect of this sort of experimentation on the visualization is studied. It also studies that what other visualization techniques could be applied to a data set without losing the quality of visual effects and visual cues. The results obtained so, are summarized and this summarization could provide a metric for the right choice of a visualization technique according to the nature of data. A points dataset is chosen for this work and some selected visualization techniques are applied to study their effect.en_US
