This study explores the emotional experiences of residents in hostels and how they may affect residents' mental health. Data were gathered from hostel residents using a correlational research approach to look at the relationship between homesickness and mental health. Significant relationships between mental health and homesickness were found by the correlation analysis. The findings emphasize the connection between emotional states in a hostile environment and the necessity of focused mental health interventions. Suggestions include the creation of specialized mental health programs inside hostels, the integration of qualitative approaches for deeper insights, and longitudinal research to monitor emotional changes over time.
