Following hypothesis were formulated 1) Tablets and smartphone based application, would be more helpful to enhance the capabilities of children with Mild Intellectual Disability, 2) Tablets and smartphone based applications, would be more helpful to enhance the capabilities of children with Moderate Intellectual Disability, 3) Animated Social Stories (video modelled) would be more effective to impact the overall social skills of children with ID. A comprehensive application containing Social Stories and games was developed and its impact was measured. The developed application was deployed on Android platform. Random sampling technique was used to collect the sample. A sample of forty six children with Mild and Moderate ID (twenty three experimental group and twenty three control group) were selected from Ameen Maktab (LHE) and Rising Sun (LHE). The collected data was analysed by calculated mean. There is a significant relationship between Social Stories and mild category. It is also found that culturally tailored Social Stories were effective in helping children. The overall result revealed that there is a significant positive relationship between tablet and smartphone based application and children with Mild and Moderate ID. With the growing population day by day in Pakistanand all over the world number of special children are also increase and it is very important to overcome or manage this problem. It is suggested that the community should give a good quality social support to these children to reduce their problems and take measures for their wellbeing. Since there is a very little research available to guide the practitioners which application to implement, it was also suggested that the developers of smartphone based applications for children with ID should verify before applying these applications on children.
