dc.description.abstractThis study illustrates the relationship between light exposure and productivity in the modern workplace. Employing a mixed-methods approach, this research combines qualitative and quantitative analysis. Surveys of 40-50 employees, from three institutions: the University of Management and Technology, Lahore; the Institute of Art and Culture, Lahore; and the University of Lahore was done. Universities selected during the process of survey is based though planning criteria which are, shared offices, private offices and cubicle offices. Research findings indicate that adequate lighting significantly enhances employee’s productivity. Exposure to light during working hours has been identified as one of the elements influencing employees' productivity and improve mental well-being. Workers in well-lit environments report increased levels of productivity, job satisfaction, and overall well-being. Conversely, employees in poorly lit conditions experience fatigue, headaches, and decreased work performance. This research offers valuable recommendations for architects, designers, facility managers, and corporate leaders seeking to create workspaces that promote employee’s health, satisfaction, and efficiency. By optimizing lighting conditions, organizations can enhance workforce productivity and contribute to a thriving corporate environment.
