dc.description.abstractFeminism is always misinterpreted and misunderstood ,particularly in the non western countries which ultimately damage the cause of women’s rights. In Pakistan, there exist strong misconceptions regarding feminist beliefs and behaviors; advocating for equality is equated with believing in one's superiority over males. Additionally, It is asserted that feminism lacks an ethical and political basis since it is not an indigenous phenomenon, these widely held beliefs have damaged the feminist moment .The aim of the present study was to understand the students perspective about feminism to evaluate how much understanding prevails among students and what they really think feminism is .For the present study qualitative research design was used and data was collected from BS Students studying in a private sector university of Lahore .Purposive sampling technique was used to collect the data from 15 students enrolled in the different departments of Social Sciences and natural sciences.
