Abstract
This study delves into the intricate relationship between Project Procurement Management
and Critical Chain Management within the framework of project execution. The research
scrutinizes how procurement processes, encompassing planning, solicitation, and contract
administration, interface with the principles of Critical Chain Management, emphasizing
task prioritization and resource optimization. Furthermore, this investigation acknowledges
the pivotal role of the Logistic/Project Manager in moderating this intricate interplay. The
manager's decisions and actions are recognized as key determinants in aligning
procurement strategies with the exigencies of Critical Chain Management. The study is
underpinned by both theoretical and practical dimensions. Theoretically, it develops a
comprehensive model elucidating how procurement activities can be seamlessly integrated
into the Critical Chain approach. Practically, it offers actionable insights for project
managers and logisticians to enhance project performance, mitigate risks associated with
procurement delays, and optimize resource allocation. By dissecting this nexus, the
research not only advances theoretical understanding but also furnishes practitioners with
valuable tools to navigate the complexities of project execution. Ultimately, this endeavor
seeks to augment the body of knowledge in project management, offering a nuanced
perspective on the interplay between procurement practices, critical task prioritization, and
the pivotal role of the Logistic/Project Manager in orchestrating successful project
outcomes.
