| dc.description.abstract | The blending of fibers has been carried out for a considerable period of time. Different types of wppls and cottons have been blended to give the desirable range of properties for fabrics made from each fiber type. Traditionally also, natural fibers have been blended to create special fabric and product qualities. Such examples are wool/cotton blends, wool/silk blends and cotton/silk blends. We have also tried to compare different types of blend properties in this project. Another type of blend is where two fabrics are combined in a composite structure to form a product which utilizes different fabric properties in the one structure. It is now commonplace to blend fibers to acquire fabrics with enhanced or unique pi^erties, which cannot be achieved easily with fabrics made from a single fiber type. Due to the wide range of fiber properties and characteristics there are almost limitless opportunities for the creation of blends of different type, composition and fabric structure. Blends therefore are a way to help differentiate products in the market place through the generation of unique and original products. We have also discus end-use yarn properties such as; tensile properties and its variations, yarn linear irregularity, and yarn imperfections. The study shows that in many cases the reeled yarns could be use in the same applications as virgin yajms did. In addition, the recycled yams produced by blend 1 were showed different behavior than wither virgin or blend 2 recycled yarns in remarkable manner. This may open windows for further work in this direction to emphasis wither recycled yarn behavior have the same roles as virgin or new theories could be drawn for the textile waste recycled yarns. | |
