Abstract
Computer technology is progressing at a very high pace in web and mobile area. Every user wants to perform his/her desired tasks on handheld deviceseffectively and efficiently. Most of the applications and utilities are being created for handheld devices that are used by common people, but large scale organizations are still developing their products using web HCI which requires alarge display. Small versions of these products are also required in such a way that most of the functionalities should be incorporated in its small/handheld version. However, there are issues and imperfections in the handheld version of those applications and utilities. As transformation from large web HCI to handheld devices' HCI is not being done properly, therefore, a framework is required for the transformation of web HCI to handheld HCI. This research presents a framework which will help the developers, designers and HCI professionals to create such applications and utilities on which the large web HCI user does not feel uncomfortable while using handheld devices' HCI.The proposed frameworkprovides guidelines to transform almost all functionalities available in large web HCI to handheld devices' HCI. This framework enables the correct placements and labeling of features in handheld devices' HCI which are currently not available.
