Abstract
The phenomenon of human resource outsourcing is in its commencement stage in Pakistan. Organizations are rehearsing human resource outsourcing yet they are ignorant from the genuine quintessence of this thought. For better understanding of the phenomenon, this research is conducted to explore the HR outsourcing practices and preferences of business organizations in Pakistan and the impact that these outsourcing decisions on organizational performance. Differences in HR outsourcing decisions due to organizational size, type and industry are also investigated. Information is gathered from private segment business associations by utilizing review strategy. HR mangers and persons involve in HR planning were the key respondents in this research. There are numerous factors and derivers for HR outsourcing as identified from the literature review. Results reveal that in Pakistan, 80% of the respondent organizations are practicing HR outsourcing in either way, as some are completely and some are partially. Further, the HR outsourcing has significant impact on organizational performance. Significant differences in HR outsourcing decisions of organizations are also found due to size, type, and industry. Large size organizations, multinational organizations, and service sector are more involved in HR outsourcing
