Lawn mowers currently used have high running and maintaining costs and produce high level of noise causing noise pollution. To overcome these issues, this project aims to design and fabricate an automated lawn mower which is a device that is fully automatic and used for cutting or maintaining the level of the grass for the aesthetic beauty of lawn without human effort. The main part in the lawn mower is blade which is rotary in motion. To avoid the energy crises, we used the best alternative source that is solar energy, which is freely available, especially in a country like Pakistan. The designed solar lawn mower includes a DC (DC) motor, a brushless DC motor, a rechargeable battery, a solar panel, a stainless steel blade, a rain sensor, a Bluetooth-controlled system, a method of detecting gram and a control switch. The cutting is achieved by the brushless DC motor, which provides the necessary torque to drive the stainless-steel blade, which is connected directly to the brushless DC motor shaft. The solar lawn mower is operated by a switch on the plate that closes the circuit and allows current to flow to the motor, which in turn drives the blade used to cut. The battery is charged with a solar panel controlled by solar charging. CREO 2.0 software was used to design the cutter structure.
