| dc.description.abstract | NAFLD is a hepatic condition characterized by the presence of a wide array of liver abnormalities from steatosis to NASH and cirrhosis. NAFLD is a common etiology of chronic liver disease. It is strongly associated with obesity. Other associated risk factors may include diabetes, insulin resistance, hypertension etc. Prevalence might differ in both genders due to hormonal changes in females. NAFLD has become an emerging health problem. Only a few number of studies have been conducted in Pakistan relating to NAFLD. | |
