Abstract
This thesis proposes the design and development of a state-of-the-art 'Motorsports Complex' in
Lahore, Pakistan, aiming to transform the city into a regional motorsports leader and address
the critical lack of world-class facilities. Located on a 2.5 km² site at the periphery of Lahore,
near Wandala Nasir, the complex is designed to accommodate 30,000 spectators. It envisions
a Grade 1 FIA Circuit capable of hosting international events, with a dedicated paddock area
for teams and vehicles. The design incorporates a water channel as a prominent design element
for the promenade, enhancing the aesthetic and user experience. The complex integrates all-
around sustainability through renewable energy, smart water management, and mindful land
use to avoid fertile farmlands. Beyond racing, the complex will offer an unforgettable fan
experience with diverse amenities including a motorsports museum, hospitality suites for VIPs,
a virtual experience zone, and merchandise shops. These features aim to captivate international
audiences through advanced broadcasting and unique design. By serving as a multi-purpose
venue, the 'Grand Prix of Design' will not only provide a professional training ground for
emerging Pakistani drivers and boost the nation's global motorsport reputation but also generate
significant economic growth, tourism, and job opportunities, fostering community engagement
and national pride while setting a new standard for environmentally conscious sports
infrastructure.
