Abstract
The current study was designed to identify the manifestation of mother’s personality, maternal perception of the adolescent’s temperament and emotional behavioral problems.The main study was carried out on 100 participants in which 50 boys and 50 girls, mothers were taken, who have children with the age range of 9-15 years. (M= 11.54; SD= 2.29) selected through snowball sampling. For this purpose, three scales’ were used to measure the mother’s perception. The measures of the current study comprised Temperament Scale for children boys and girls (TSCB, TSCG, Amin &Saleem, 2016), Perception of Emotional Behavioral problem (PEBP, Marcellus & Bashir, 2016), and Big Five Inventory (John, Donahue &Kentle, 1991).Findings of the study showed that mothers who are extroverted perceived their child more social and found less emotional behavioral problems in their children, and mothers who have high neuroticism were used to perceive their child more aggressive and careless and found more emotion behavioral problems. The current study will help to know about the deep influences of mother’s personalities on the temperaments and emotional behavioral problems of adolescent, it will also help to know about the factors which induce emotional behavioral problems in the adolescents.
