Hospitals are significant sources of waste production. Infectious, chemical, genotoxic, and pharmaceutical expired, pathologic, hazardous material, and sharps are included in health care waste. Poor health waste management is exposed to infection, adverse effects, and injury for healthcare personnel, waste handlers, and communities. The most prevalent issues with a hospital or healthcare waste include a lack of awareness of health concerns, a lack of training in good waste management, a lack of appropriate waste and disposal methods, a lack of financial and human resources, and a low priority for the subject. This project includes an evaluation of the management of hospital waste in Lahore hospitals. Five private and five public Lahore hospitals are chosen as case studies fields for this research project. The research employed a variety of approaches to analyze medical waste management procedures including literature reviews, audits, and questionnaires in the different public and private Hospitals located in Lahore.
