Abstract
A cooperative project called the Animal Welfare Complex aims to improve the welfare of stray animals. The ongoing urbanization process is reducing city biodiversity and the demand for biodiversity in our local area. Humans are abusing nature. They have been doing this for a long time and are unaware of the harm they have caused. Humans tend to focus exclusively on themselves and their immediate environment, ignoring a significant portion of their surroundings that is hidden from view—that is, other people and animals as well as nature. The purpose of this research paper is to educate readers about the current state of stray animal existence, animal abuse, and cruelty, as well as their responsibilities to other living things. This research aims to investigate the medical facility that treats stray animals that are saved from fatal diseases and accidents. Providing rescued animals with natural settings is a top priority in the shelter design. The initiative aims to reduce confinement and enhance well-being by implementing aspects that replicate their natural habitat (e.g., open areas, greenery, enrichment features). With the right care and rehabilitation, this method makes it possible for qualifying animals to be returned to their native environment. This study is restricted to the particular class of animals, which includes cats, dogs and donkeys. By combining a biogas plant with a stray animal rescue facility, this initiative offers a novel approach to animal care. By using the organic waste from the shelter to create renewable energy, the biogas plant would support environmental sustainability and self-sufficiency. As architects, we design spaces to maximize comfort and actively work toward sustainability for a better future. Neglecting animal habitat results in a sustainability gap since human-centric development should not be the world's exclusive priority. Therefore, it is the duty of an architect to use architecture to foster human-human interaction.
