In the face of Pakistan's alarming child health crisis, marked by preventable diseases and
insufficient care, this thesis proposes a life-saving solution: a state-of-the-art children's
hospital in Bahawalnagar, Punjab. This haven for young patients will tackle key issues
head on It will combat Pakistan's high child mortality rates, which stem from a lack of
skilled birth attendants, sanitation, and accessible pediatric care. Vibrant, playful spaces,
coupled with holistic medical departments like neonatology and oncology, will prioritize
patient well-being and positive recovery experiences. It will address Bahawalnagar's
stark shortage of dedicated children's facilities and skilled professionals. By creating a
child-friendly environment, anxiety will melt away, replaced by comfort and healing.
This hospital will break free from outdated practices.
Sustainable design features, resource efficiency, and renewable energy sources will pave the
way for a responsible and environmentally sound healthcare future.
