dc.description.abstractThis research is a psycholinguistic analysis of the comments of the followers on the posts of Pakistani celebrities on Instagram. The research predominantly includes Psycholinguistic analysis on the usage of pronouns and emotional states with the help of language, how much positive or negative emotions are used through language and how these emotions become a reason of anxiety or depression. The research design includes quantitative approach in which Linguistic Inquiry and Word Count (LIWC) has been used to analyze the Linguistic Categories and Psychological Processes on the selected comments on the posts of Pakistani celebrities on Instagram. The linguistic categories have particularly focused on the pronouns and psychological process focuses on the emotional state of followers on the celebrities post through LIWC-2022. This research includes 84 posts which have been taken from online sources named as "Galaxy Lollywood", "Express tribune life and style", and "Diva Magazine Pakistan”. The results show the extensive usage of third person pronouns and high percentile of negative emotions as compared to positive emotions.
