Sewing is an important process of Garments manufacturing industry. Faults occurring during production severely affect the quality and efficiency of garments. Their repair also increases the production cost and time consuming. The target of this project is to analyze the sewing faults which mostly occur during production process of Denim garments and finally to make suggestions for their rectification, improving quality and minimizing the repair costs. In this study, we observed the two assembly lines of sewing process. We checked the faults occurring in small parts section, front & back section as well as the assembly section. The machinery, execution techniques of operators were observed and in inspection section and quality check after sewing process, where all garments are inspected, a number of different faults were observed. But some major faults which were causing about half of rejections were studied, and after discussions their remedies were suggested. Their practical implications were also studied after implementation.
