Abstract
This study has explored the knowledge acquisition and dissemination processes operative at two levels, workers and firms in the football industry of Sialkot, Pakistan. This study has focused on how these firms were able to adapt new means of technologically advanced processes of football production and how hand-stitched footballs are being produced. To develop a tentative indigenous theory of knowledge conversion process, qualitative research methodology was used, and the grounded theory approach was applied. Data were collected from 21 informants, including CEOs, managers and workers using semi-structured interviews. Purposive sampling was used to select the informants. This was a cross-sectional study with inductive approach.
