Abstract
The research paper takes into account analysis of the causes of Poverty and the methods
being used for its measurement. The main aim of the research is whether the poverty
alleviation schemes being run are according to the Islamic Laws (Shariah) or not. In the
first stage this research will cover detailed study and analysis of previous research work
already carried out by the research scholars, for which a lot of information is available
through various sources.
