Abstract
The purpose of my study is to organize Turkish traditional methods and their connection with existing product designs. Traditional Turkish styles played a very important role in Ottoman art because of their examples and unique styles from the 16th century. When we examine these principles we will see; tiger stripe, three dots (Cintemani), Rumi, Hatayi, Penç, Cloud, Crescent, Star, Jacinth, Tulip and Carnation. At this time, Turkish designers have begun to use Turkish traditional methods to differentiate themselves from other designers. An example of contemporary design using Turkish motifs implies that it is of Ottoman origin and has historical value. In this study, Turkish motifs and their influence on the creation of products that are used today are examined. Keywords: Ottoman arts, modern Turkish style, traditional Turkish motifs.
