Abstract
This thesis examines present culture infiltration through English language and its consequences on indigenous culture and languages of the country. It elaborates the British and particularly American influence through language around the world, especially in Pakistan. Both Britain and particularly America explicitly rewards and implicitly threatens those living in nations of the expanding circle, depending upon their mastery of English language and their conformity to Anglo American norms, tradition, values, and cultures. Moreover it attempts to show how societies can be dominated indirectly through language, modernity, and technology. It aims at providing the necessary information to understand the indirect infiltration of the America and British culture into Pakistani and its impact on the Pakistan social structure and consumption. It is qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive kind of research. Data are collected from American Headway Starter and American Headway 1 in order to make analyses of the text and pictorial presentation in these books from cultural point of view. English language teaching is actually American and Western culture teaching. Pakistani culture has changed into American and British culture at a great extent due to ELT, TEFL, EFL, IELTS, TEOFL, etc. Pakistani culture is being destroyed in the hands of English language.
