| dc.description.abstract | Design of Underground Parking Garage The current parking situation in UMT is an outside plot. This plot is not paved with proper asphalt or any wearing course. When it rains, the parking area tends to get muddy because the surface of the plot consists of soil and brick ballast. This causes great difficulty for vehicles to maneuver. The parking garage plays an important role in mobility. As paring issue come from the public behavior itself. So, that’s why for the design of the underground parking garage. For this parking garage we shall utilize the playing field/ground of UMT, while preserving the ground surface for the playing purposes. So, it is very important for a structural engineer, one has to consider all the possible loadings and design of structural elements (beams & columns) as well as to save the cost to compete in the ever growing competent market. To analyze and design the underground parking structure and to check the feasibility of structure, appropriate manual calculation was carried out after finalizing the dimensions. A detailed analysis was carried out using the software STAAD Pro. The architectural drawings were done by using the software approach called Auto-CAD. | |
