dc.description.abstractFarmers of developing countries including Pakistanare facing various physical and psychological risk factors. The study was designed to find out the psychosocial issues faced by the farmers of Punjab province, explore the relationships between self-efficacy, perceived social support and psychosocial problems in farmers and to give suggestions to maintain their health. For the purpose two factor analysis indigenous scale was developed to measure the relationship between variables 162 sample of farmers were with the age range of 23 to 70 (M= 42.27, SD = 13.35) from three main districts of Punjab. The measurements which were given Self-efficacy, Multidimensional Perceived Social Support Scale, Psychosocial problems Scale and Depression, Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS-21) was used to establish the concurrent validity of PSPSF. The Principal Component Factor Analysis revealed a two factor structure of PSPSF namely Psychosomatic Issues and Interpersonal Issues. The results of Hierarchical Regression Analysis showed low self-efficacy and Perceived social support as significant negative predictor of mental health problems. This study holds its implications in cultural, clinical and counseling arenas.en_US
