dc.description.abstractNanotechnology has wide range of applications in all fields. In this thesis, introduction to nanotechnology and its broad variety of applications are taking in consideration. Moreover, the introduction to metal oxides, transition metal oxides and their applications are studied. Then it is focused on study of Graphene oxide on the basis of its unique properties such as mechanical, electrical and thermal. After introduction, some experimental work is discussed. Graphene oxide nanoparticles were synthesized by using modified Hummer’s method. XRD analysis confirmed that Graphene oxide is prepared. Moreover, by using the data of XRD average crystallite size and interatomic spacing between the layers of GO is calculated.
