Item Impact of human factor in aviation accidents(University of Management and Technology Lahore, 2017) Khizra TanveerFrom decades human factors are the most common contributing factors for aviation accidents. It can be seen from history that technology, rules, procedures, regulations, training methods and number of things have been improved and there risk factors have been mitigated but human factors are still prevailing the deadly safety issue. Approximately 75-80% mishaps in aviation are caused by human factors. Many safety training and programs are now being held at airports and in airline organizations. However there are no procedures that are made for resolving this issue. This research work comprises of all the technical and practical issues related to human factor with accident examples. Each and every aspect of human factor is visualized through past accidents. How an unsafe act can lead to distraction is clearly explained in this research. The main target was pilots, traffic controllers, flight crew and engineers. The aim of this research was to highlight the human factors, their origination and results. It may help future readers to know the starting point of error analysis.
