    parental efficacy, sleep problem, and internet addiction in day scholar and hostelite university students

    This study looks at university students' sleep issues and parental efficacy as independent variables and evaluates how they affect the dependent variable of internet addiction. Undergraduate and graduate students from private universities make up the population of interest. A correlational research approach was used to determine the relationship between these characteristics. A multistage sample technique was used to get the data from 200 participants, 99 of them were male and 101 females. Measures of parental efficacy, sleep problems, and internet addiction were conducted using indigenous instruments, including the Parental efficacy Scale, Sleep problem Scale, and Internet Addiction Scale. The Pearson Product and t-test analysis were employed in the investigation. The findings of correlation analysis demonstrated a positive link between internet addiction and sleep issues whereas negative association between parental efficacy and sleep issues. These findings highlight how crucial it is to encourage parental involvement and deal with sleep-related problems in order to reduce the likelihood of internet addiction, enhance overall student wellbeing, and boost academic achievement.
