Comparison of energy efficient approaches in sdn (software defined networking)
(umt lahore, 2017) Tayyab Sohail; Agha Mujtaba Ezaz; Danish Ahmed; Zulfiqar Ali
The internet has realized the making of an advanced society, in which practically everything is shared and is accessible from all over the place. At the same time disregarding their immense selection, customary IP systems are perplexing and truly extreme to manage. By far it is very hard to design the system with regards to predefined approaches, and to reconfigure it to react to flaws, load and changes. To make themes considerably more prominent troublesome, current systems additionally are vertically coordinated: the control and information planes are packaged by and large. Software defined networking paradigm is being attracted worldwide to carry out the research. SDN is ensuring such promising features that are allowing programmable network components and are separating the control plane and the forwarding plane. Numerous blessings are being furnished by SDN inclusive of flexibility without effecting the forwarding performance, it is also imparting excessive efficiency with optimized routing and furthermore it is ensuring ease of implementation, management and most above value discount. On the other hand, energy reduction in systems administration is an issue as energy saving cost contributes altogether to the general expenses in data and correspondence innovations. Therefore, energy effective frameworks for SDN segments have turned out to be basic. In this research we will be discussing energy efficient frameworks for SDN. In order to help researchers finding open challenges and proposing a sustainable approach, we will evaluate energy efficient and robust solutions for SDN without compromising the quality of service. Moreover this research will provide a comparative analysis on the existing solutions and identify their problems.

Energy optimization by using sensing network
(University of Management and Technology, 2012) Muhammad Arslan Farooq; Hassan Khalid; Zulfiqar Ali
In our project we will optimize the energy by using a number of sensors. Every sensor has a specific function to control the electric appliances. Each sensor generates the signal and sends it to the relays and magnetic contactors which is directly control the electric appliance .this automation is control by a microcontroller circuit which connected to the computer by serial communication. In computer we can control all the system by using excels datasheet which is communicated with microcontroller. When system is activated by this technique we can control all the appliances instantly, as a change made in excel timetable. By this automation we can save a significant amount of energy and a lot of money.

Leadership behavior and organizational commitment: An empirical study of educational professionals
(2011) Ijaz Ahmad Tatlah; Zulfiqar Ali; Saeed, Muhammad
One of the important factors influencing perceptions of the existence of organizational commitment is leadership behaviors. It is argued that leadership behaviors are developed to humanize and renormalize the workplace. In various studies, leadership behaviors were evaluated as antecedents of organizational commitment. In this sense, the purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between leadership behaviors and organizational commitment (OC). This study is based on the behavioral approach of the leadership. Data were obtained from 150 individuals. Results indicated that over all leadership behavior and organizational commitment of educational professionals have a strong positive correlation. A significant effect of leadership behavior on organizational commitment was also found through regression analysis. Moreover, it was found that Initiation Structure pattern of leadership behavior is negatively related with Affiliation commitment while positively with Exchange commitment; however this has no relationship with Identification commitment. While Consideration pattern of the leadership behavior is strongly correlated with Identification commitment a dimension of OC, further it was concluded that this has not any relationship with Affiliation and Exchange commitment dimensions of OC.

A linkage between human capital and demographic externalities
(Institute of Interdisciplinary Business Research, 2011) Naila Nisar; Ahmad Raza; Zulfiqar Ali; Ijaz Ahmad Tatlah
The Industrial Revolution and the Demographic Transition are the two great forces that explain the upward march of modern economy. What is the general effect of increase in Human Capital Intensity (HCI) on major demographic factors? Despite the universal agreement on socio-economic return of Human Capital (HC), much less is known about the demographic return of HC. This study attempts to explore major demographic externalities of overall increase in HCI. This paper mainly utilizes the published data of International Labor Organization and United Nations. In this study, both bivariate and multivariate analyses have been performed. From this study, It is observed that, HCI is robustly associated with the productivity of the country. Our findings reveal that, a negative relation exists between HCI (PWSI) and Population Growth Rate, Total Fertility Rate, Crude Birth Rate and Crude Death Rate, and a positive correlation appears between HCI and Net Migration Rate. Formation of HC is very important in different aspects for a nation, as well as the individual. Every nation should emphasize HC formation for prosperity of the nation. Besides this, HC formation should also be stressed as an indirect measure of population control, which is very important for well-being of all nations.

Motivation and student's behavior: A tertiary level study
(Academic Journals, 2011-02) Zulfiqar Ali; Ijaz Ahmad Tatlah; Saeed, Muhammad
Student motivation is an important focus of research in Education. The research in the area has primarily focused on student motivation and academic achievement. There are no significant studies looking at the relationship of motivation with student behavior at tertiary level. This article draws on social exchange theory to examine the connection between motivation and student behavior as a learning outcome. The main premise of the article is that motivation basically depends upon the goal achievement that the students may be allowed to carry out. This means the extent to which creative skills and competence of students are appreciated. Students’ needs for achievement were used as the moderator. Analysis was conducted on the sample of 200 students in one of the leading private universities in the province of Punjab in Pakistan. The findings reveal that an important factor that affects the motivation level is the extent to which students are duly given rewards. Results showed that if motivated, students display positive feelings towards their institute and vice versa. Recommendations in the light of the outcomes were made that the students need to be motivated by providing them more rewards. They should also be provided more encouragement to achieve their goals. This will result in positive behavior from students.

Role of intelligence and creativity in the academic achievement of students
(2012) Ijaz Ahmad Tatlah; Tahseen Mehmood Aslam; Zulfiqar Ali; Muhammad Iqbal
The study was designed to investigate the influence of Emotional Intelligence and creativity on the academic achievement of Business Education Students using Ex- post facto research design. A total of 235 students purposively selected from four College of Education participated in the study. Three research questions were raised and answered in the study. Three instruments: Student Cumulative, Grade Point (CGPA) Information Format (SCIF); Wong and law emotional intelligence scale (WLEIS) and Nicolas Holt Creativity Test (NHCT) were used for data collection. The multiple regression analysis and ANOVA were the major statistical tools used for data analysis. Findings from the study revealed that; emotional intelligence and creativity when combined, jointly predicted the achievement of Business Education Students. It is recommended among others that emotional intelligence and creativity skills should be taught as a separate course with the aim of enhancing students' achievement and positive attitude towards learning.

Teachers as a leader and their traits: Evidence from secondary level
(2012) Tahseen Mehmood Aslam; Zulfiqar Ali; Ijaz Ahmad Tatlah; Iqbal, Muhammad
Teacher must act as a leader because his/her role is very effective in educational change. Influence of personality traits on leadership styles has been a significant topic in management but no research emphasis has been given to teacher’s personality influence on their leadership behaviors. This research investigates the correlation between these two aspects. Quantitative research is done by means of survey to a convenient sample of 150 teachers of public Secondary schools of Lahore. The dominant traits are associated with both leadership styles thus showing that both people and task oriented leadership styles are effective. This research can be generalized to other areas. The research emphasizes the importance of traits and their influence on behavior. Further researches should examine the traits which are needed for an effective leadership styles. The major contribution of this paper is that it correlate personality traits with leadership styles and high light those traits which are associated with effective leadership styles i.e. people oriented so teachers become more aware to adopt those traits which produce effective behavior and change.
