Item Bauhaus(UMT Lahore, 2023-10-07) Zain AsifFrom 1919 until 1933, the Bauhaus was a German art school that aspired to merge fine arts with crafts and design to create useful, cheap, modern architecture and design. Walter Gropius, a German architect, established it because he felt that art and design could enhance people's lives and should be infused into daily products. To put it succinctly, the Bauhaus was the most well-known art school of the 20th century (Arnason). However, it was obviously much more than that and continues to be. The institution completely altered how art was taught at the time. Our strategies for instructing and training art students include the lessons offered at the Bauhaus served as the foundation for experimentation and innovation. Some of the most well-known painters, sculptors, architects, craftspeople, and artists of the time were all housed under one roof as a result. Both in principle (see Gropius' "Manifesto") and in practice (see examples of Bauhaus artwork), the Bauhaus incorporated the concepts and styles of modernism. The Bauhaus is still regarded as a magnificent example of modernism that upholds elegance and excellent design. It combined craft, technology, and art into a single, recognizable German aesthetic. Its name came to stand for a location, a concept, and a fashion. The innovations produced at the time as a result of the Bauhaus movement continue to influence various facets of life 100 years later. In my thesis, I'll talk about how the Bauhaus has inspired me personally. This research invokes the visual aesthetic principles used and created by the Bauhaus and its Stage Workshop through the practices and discourses of creative/performative writing and formal aesthetics. It examines the inventive relationships between textual and visual media that can influence meaning through simple, all-inclusive communication and understanding. The relationship between creative/performative writing, avant-garde theatre ideas, and associated Bauhaus performance papers is first established. The primary visual and textual expression techniques utilized in the following sections are shown in this first graph. These additional areas of investigation include an evocative rendering of the various and incomplete histories that include the Bauhaus, a study of formal aesthetics and how the Bauhaus interpreted them, and an interpretation and analysis of three performances from the Bauhaus Stage Workshop using written and aesthetic techniques for a richer analysis. The Stage Workshop performances, which were a crucial aspect of the Bauhaus' development of formal aesthetics, serve as a vibrant testing ground for how creative/performative writing and formal aesthetics might support the expression and understanding of visual artworks. By emphasizing a visual/experiential paradigm for academic research, creative/performative writing, and formal aesthetics provide a manner of highlighting the evocative and citation power of creative discourses.Item Spatial Data Analysis of Vehicle Accidents in Victoria Australia from 2006 to 2016 using ANOVA and T- Statistics(UMT, Lahore, 2019) Zain AsifAccidents and the analysis of accidents has always been an area of interest in the present age and is of prime interest to not only passengers but also the manufacturers of those vehicles and the government. The analysis of accidents helps expose the relationship between different types of attributes that are involved in causing the accidents. Accidents can be of airplanes, ships, road accidents etc but for our thesis we will be considering road accidents for different vehicles and focusing on cars. The analysis of various types of accidents using the given dataset we can gather information and contribute to finding the attributes which can cause accidents and how are can use these attributes to decrease the number of accidents. In our study we will be using statistical data analysis on spatial data on the State of Victoria in the Australia region. There have been laws made to reduce the speed limit of the vehicles over the past decades and our focus of this research would be to find out what vehicles are most prone to accidents and the driving rules and policies made by the government to control them. Accident are something which everyone tries to avoid and incase of the mishap what policies and safety measures can be taken to prevent them. Our research is an extension of work of data exploration [4] and finding the vehicles most prone to accidents and then finding out the government policies [3] that were applied to those vehicles and if there was any decrease in the accidents as a result of those policies.Item Street stencil(UMT.Lahore, 2020) Zain AsifSketching is the art lines in surrounding to draw out the details of materialization on the streets. The word street defines the property of others that comes in contact with the wanderers to ruin it for their satisfaction. No matter what others will remark over it, the thing which matters is the fame of sketching out the street as an art. While the word stencil means to mold with whom is possible to create an image on some flat surfaces by allowing the color to reach that surface with the gaps in it. Stenciling is a way of creating pictures or text on surfaces. The gang of those who want to represent either their feelings or to demoralize other’s space to spread either awareness or fear to others but in end, the main essence is to burn-out their satisfaction through art details. Silence is the real killer in every aspect of life, the main central idea came from the art of breaking out the silence through the reflection of art on the streets. It can also be said as the public art, Public art is that art in any media that has been planned and executed to be staged in the physical public domain, usually outside and accessible to all. Public art may include any art which is exhibited in a public space including publicly accessible buildings, but often it is not that simple. The people sketching out the details on the street walls called their art as “writing” and they called themselves the “writers”. Detailing out the concept of the street stencil wanders to the details of hidden perspectives of freedom by breaking out the silence to speak either by lips or through art. History defines those writers as the criminals, as they do their art devotions by wearing a mask to avoid themselves to come in notice of others. Silence can kill the emotions, expressions, and happiness of a person, therefore, the sketch that has been drawn through this is to highlight the inner comfort and satisfaction of emotions, thoughts, and self-motivation through art representation on the streets. The main sketch line of the concept is to never hide the emotions and expressions, as the speaking is the real power to specify your worth to others. The research aims to design two garments which will symbolize the “Breaking the silence out” theme. So these two garments can be considered as the core outcome of this thesis. All the details regarding the creation of these garments will be narrated in the flow of this research. For the sake of the creation of these garments research boards, mood boards, color palettes, and every insightful related aspect has been discussed under the methodology.
