    A Refactoring Tool for Bad Smell Detection

    As mentioned in the preface if you want to refactor your code then it is necessary for you that you first identify the bad smells in your code and only then you will be able to apply the refactoring. The purpose of this project is to make automated tool which assist you in finding bad smells in your code. Our software will be an application program which will take a Java source file as input and notify to the user if some of the bad smells mentioned in the following document. It will locate the bad smells and present them to the system user in a convenient way through proper GUI. It will also give suggestion for appropriate refactoring to be applied on it. It will be handy software for those Java programmers who emphasize on refactoring of their code along with the development. This software will help them to locate the bad smells in the code and will give them appropriate suggestion to remove these smells

    Lean manufacturing is a business strategy which is developed in Japan. The main benefit of this strategy is improvement in productivity of manufacturing, reduction in wastages and also improvement in quality of the product in this era of competition. There are several tools of lean manufacturing. This research is attempted to identify the applicability of one of the important tool of lean named Value Stream Mapping in the sewing department of apparel industry of Pakistan. In this research firstly, current state map is developed by doing necessary calculations after this gap analysis being made in gap analysis things to be identified which creating hurdles in current state in the last step future and purposed work state is being developed. The findings of this research paper extended to similar apparel industry in the future.
