(UMT Lahore, 2020-08) Hassan Tahir; Wajahat Ali; Burhan Ud Din; M.Tayyab Nasir
The drastic increase in human needs and demands has pushed the robotic sector to evolve and expand even more. In recent years, robotic vehicles have become an important part of service robotics. Besides the routine tasks that a robot can perform, it can execute various specific tasks within a single robot. In this research paper, the proposed work presents the design and development of a multipurpose smart robotic car using a wireless surveillance camera, stair-climbing tires, obstacle avoidance with the help of various sensors, a wireless controller via Bluetooth, and an Android app. In this project, several different components are used for driving as well as for its functional tasks. Based on modern technological advancements, it has various features that make it state-of-the-art in robotics. The main feature of this unique smart robotic vehicle is its ability to execute versatile tasks, including operation in night conditions and rough terrain areas. The proposed system uses innovative machine intelligence to provide immediate responses. The main body of this article emphasizes the definition of unique, intelligent, and autonomous smart robotic vehicles.

Perceived Reason for Self-Medication A case study of students of UMT Lahore
    (UMT, Lahore, 2024) Wajahat Ali
The use of over-the-counter medication (OTC) to treat self-diagnosed symptoms or disorders for the continuous and re-use of prescribed medications for recurrent diseases. Or the consumption of medicine without consulting physicians, i.e. leftover medicine in the home or take suggestive medicine from family, friends, or relatives. The current study is about the practice of self-medication (SM) among the students of the University of Management and Technology, Lahore. The aim of my study is to address the factors that influence the students to do Self-medication. This theory investigates relations between the factors of previous experience, financial problems, and lack of awareness and self-medication. For the research, a quantitative research method is adopted to investigate the problem. Data was collected from 379 students through a questionnaire from UMT, Lahore. SPSS software is used for analysis. The outcome of this research highlights a meaningful connection between self-medication and the factors, previous experience, financial problems, and lack of awareness. Our findings are enriching through the literature review and assist playmakers in making policies.
