IMPACT OF GOVERNMENT POLICIES ON AIRLINE OPERATING EFFICIENCY
(UMT, Lahore, 2021) WAQAS SHAHID, ASAD SHABBIR and SYED MUMAEZA BATOOL
This paper investigates the issues of characterizing, understanding, and improving operational efficiency of airline industry based on government policies. In this regard, the primary data were collected from top managers, middle managers and first line managers by providing them questionnaire scale. We conducted the quantitative study by deploying validity, reliability, and correlation and regression analysis to investigate the impact of government policies on airlines operating efficiency. We found significant impact and positive correlation between government policies and operating efficiencies, if well implemented, applicable, effective, efficient, outcome and feedback oriented. Therefore, aviation authorities must implement the government policies to improve the operational efficiency. Further, the limitations with future recommendations are also provided in discussion section
