Item Analyzing the influence of public participation and social equity on disaster resilient (A case study of Awaran, Pakistan)(UMT, Lahore, 2024) WALEED AHMEDThis study examines the influence of public participation and social equity on disaster resilience using the 2013 Awaran earthquake in Balochistan, Pakistan as a case study. By evaluating the Awaran earthquake recovery process, we can derive valuable insights into the broader discourse of disaster recovery and, more importantly, understand the ways in which public participation and social equity can contribute to the resilience and well-being of disaster-affected populations. The long-term implications of this seismic event on the effected region remain a topic of concern. The research designed was used for this research paper was quantitative method. The study population was the Makran Division (Kech, Panjgur, Gwadar) and the epicenter of disaster the Awaran district of Balochistan. The sample size was 392 and the data was collected through online questionnaire surveys. The researcher used SPSS software for data analysis. Based on the findings and results, our hypothesis is confirmed that the public participation and social equity has significant influence on disaster vulnerability. The findings led to several key recommendations: Promote Community Participation in Disaster Recovery, Enhance Social Equity in Disaster Recovery, Improve Disaster Awareness and Preparedness, Strengthen Healthcare Infrastructure, Encourage Volunteerism and Community Engagement, Ensure Equitable Resource Distribution, and Build Resilient Infrastructure.
