    Strategic location planning in Pakistan for Steel Re-Rolling/Forming Mills

    Facility location of any manufacturing unit plays a vital role in future profitability and effectiveness of company. To get maximum output location of any industrial unit is placed in the most feasible region. To check the feasibility there are various method and methodology. The first step is to identify that industry. Our industrial segment is manufacturing industry in steel sector. This project analyses some of the location site selection techniques which include Factor rating method, Center of gravity method, Location breakeven analysis among these methods we applied Factor rating method to analyze the feasible location of steel manufacturing facility. The reason behind applying this method is its capability to consider many factors objectively. Limited work has been done so far in this particular area in Pakistan; in order to fill this gap this study was conducted.
