    ACCELERATED INFLATION IN PAKISTAN AFFECTS UNIVERSITY STUDENTS’ PURCHASING POWER OF POCKET MONEY THEY RECEIVE

    The study aims to investigate and examine the impact of inflation on university student purchasing power. Inflation has a significant impact on every individual’s life. Due to inflation, the value of money is decreasing day by day. People are facing problems to meet their needs. Things that are affordable before people cannot afford now. An increase in inflation has a great impact on purchasing power. Inflation can lead to illegal work such as crime, drug addiction, etc. Today every country is facing an inflation problem but most developing countries face more as compared to developed countries. Pakistan is also a developing country. In Pakistan, every citizen is struggling to survive. Everyone whether they are upper-middle-class people, poor people, businessmen, and students also suffers from this issue. It has a great impact on our country’s economy. In our society, students are one of the big and main groups which play an important role but inflation has a significant impact on students’ purchasing power. A quantitative study was conducted to investigate the impact of inflation on students purchasing power they receive. 210 students of UMT filled out the questionnaire by using the questionnaire form on Google.
