Re-orientalism: projection of the orient by oriental themselve in the novel a thousand splendid suns by khaled hosseisni and the white tiger by aravind adiga
    (UMT.Lahore, 2019) Syeda Ummrah Ashfaq
The matter of Orientalism can be clearly seen in the literature written on South Asian from the days of colonialism, demonstrating Indian sub-continent and its societies. In the thesis, the focus on Orientalism by Orientals themselves, which will be terming as RE- Orientalism, will be discussed with the relation of two novels A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini and The White Tiger by Aravind Adiga. Ironically in Re-Orientalism it can be seen that the diasporic authors in their works talks about the negative image of Asia , their insecurities , their internal fears over their own self-identity . Some deals with this problem in a constructive way, seeking to learn, to asking the local South Asian people about their culture, tradition, regional practices have been represented precisely and authentic or not The thesis will talk over the perpetration of Orientalism in South Asian literature in English, that no longer Orientalism is spread in the world by Occidentals but by Orientals through diasporic Orientals
