    Shooting simulation in virtual reality
(University of Management and Technolog, 2017) Sohail Butt, Ihtisham; Hashmi, Hassan; Ijaz, Zaid; Musab Rasheed, Muhammad
Our project is to develop a virtual reality environment where agencies can train their security forces in safe, controlled and real-time scenarios with little use of training expenses and space. We are providing a platform in which they deal with virtual armed combat situations and learn how to deal with appropriate situations without the risk of death or serious injuries. The objective is to develop an Application integrated with Virtual Reality. The individual wear’s the VR viewer in which our application is running on a mobile device. The individual has a view in every direction and they are placed in an illusion of virtually being in another place. The Kinect V2 motion sensor for tracking body motion was used as well as a prototype gun for aiming capabilities in the VR. To make this project successful we are providing multiple scenarios which include a shooting range and building infiltration. The new technology provided is a learning curve for everyone who is new to firing an armed weapon and when facing a combat scenario
