Web based grid connected photovoltaic system with dual axis solar tracking
(UMT Lahore, 2020) Sheikh Muhammad Oneeb; Abdullah Khalid; Muneeb Saeed
Energy crisis is a concerning problem, which underdeveloped countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh are still facing. There is an immense situation in the generation and demand of electrical energy. Solar energy is the new trend to this situation. With the use of solar tracking system, it is probable to generate more electrical energy if the panel maintains a perpendicular profile with the sunrays throughout the day. And for this purpose dual axis tracking system was introduced. This project report presents the designing of a dual axis solar tracking system. The work is alienated into two segments; hardware and software system. In hardware segment, there are four light dependent resistors (LDR) to detect the maximum light from the sun. Two DC motors attached to a motor driver are used for the rotation of the panel. In software segment, Arduino UNO is used as the controller. As a result of which we get more efficient system.
