    Solar thremal power plant system
(UNIVERSITY OF MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY, 2015) Hafiz Muhammad Waseem Anwar; Shehzad, Mohsin; Hafiz Hafeez Ullah
Solar Thermal energy is rapidly becoming important mean of renewable energy resource. As such it is very important that those in engineering fields understand the technologies associated with this area. Ourproject included the hardware design of parabolic trough for Solar Thermal and its tracking system. Using parabolic trough tracking we can produce more energy because the parabolic trough is able to remain united to the sun. This system builds upon topics learned in this course. Our work will ultimately be demonstrated to validate the design. Problems and possible improvements will also be presented. In our project we designed 1 parabolic trough, and it's tracking for the purpose of electricity generation from sun. Designed device is capable to rotate the panel in position of sun. Single axis tracking is the technique that we used. 2 LDR's (light dependent resistors) are used for input.
