    Media and domestic violence the role of print media in highlighting domestic violence sissues (MMC)

    This research investigates the domestic violence issue in Pakistan, particularly In Lahore and the role of print media in highlighting this issue for the sake of awareness to get rid of this evil. Main research hypothesis was that Print Media editorial page is promoting the awareness regarding domestic violence issues in Pakistan. Domestic violence exists all over the country and its ratio is high. By employing content analysis technique it was explored that media has an effective role in highlighting this issue in society. This fact has been well documented through national and international reports. In Pakistan, 90% women are victims of domestic violence and it has been declared as evil, sin and crime, but government has failed to eliminate this issue in country due to weak policies and poverty as well.
